From the Desk of HOD,Computer Science and Engineering
“If you think you are worth what you know; you are very wrong. Your knowledge today does not have much value beyond a couple of years. Your value is what you can learn and how easily you can adapt to the changes this profession brings so often”------Jose M Aguilar
Computer Science serves the foundation for the science and technological growth which has fuelled the pace of globalization. The 21st Century sees a more dynamic and more interconnected world than ever before. The beauty of this field is it finds a place in various other areas as well. Our purpose would be to provide quality education with right values, such that our students become competent engineers and good leaders of tomorrow.
We, at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering align our goals towards the same. Our effort will be to involve students in handling pioneering, interdisciplinary and collaborative research to tackle the nation’s largest challenges. We believe that our students should work shoulder to shoulder with the faculty, to tackle global issues and convert ideas into actions. To achieve the same, we have competent faculty who love to teach.
To bridge the gap between industry and academia, the department conducts additional courses and workshops in various subjects. The department encourages innovative projects which can handle social issues. Faculty are pursuing research in the latest domains like Networks, Image Processing, Data Mining, Big Data, Machine Learning and Internet of Things. The Department as a whole will continue to look beyond all boundaries leaving no stone unturned to bring the best for our students.

Developers Student Club
The soul of college / university life is the fraternities on the campus – the clubs that become a surrogate family
for a student, helping him/her grow and explore latent talents in fields other than academics.
JCET-Hubballi, has a strong tradition of student bodies and clubs that attract students from all disciplines, cutting across courses. Indeed, a student has much to look forward to on the campus, besides classroom learning, and laboratory practical sessions, or even regular dives into library shelves. Teaching faculty and other staff are equally enthusiastic about the clubs.
Faculty co-ordinator:Prof.Amrutha.N
President: MS.Neha Haveri.
Vice President: Mr.Amogh Lokhande.
